Summers in Lake Tahoe offer sunny and clear days, with cool evenings making it perfect for all types of activities, such as hiking or boating, but there are all sorts of special events to add highlights to your visit, whimsical plays by Shakespeare, food & wine events, and always something more, so let the adventure continue!

 

Music events are a cornerstone of Tahoe, so take a look at some of the highlights, and make sure you don’t miss the supreme music scene.

 

1. Magic Fusion, The Loft Theatre & Lounge

January 1, 2018 – December 31, 2018

Robert Hall, who has been performing magic professionally for twenty years, headlines this month at 7pm & 9pm in Lake Tahoe. Over the years he’s been producing amazing live theatre shows, so he feels quite at home on a stage or performing for an intimate group, so, whether you have a date-night or a bachelorette party, he can spice up any special occasion. Magic Fusion is a perfect blend of intimate comedy and magic, a nightly production show in the Heavenly Village where award-winning magicians from around the world are featured.

 

2. Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival, Glenbrook

Each summer

Participants bring their own picnic and wine and view the play from the sands of the beach, including productions by the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra and local Chautauqua groups.

 

3. After Dark Band, Carson Valley

December 1

The After Dark Band appears in the Carson Valley Inn with a high energy which will have you up and singing along, as their must-not-miss show is filled with the energy of the group.

 

4. Lake Tahoe Music Festival, Tahoe

August

The Lake Tahoe Music Festival presents a 5-day concert series on the west shore of Lake Tahoe and Truckee, and you can bring your picnic and favorite beverage and have some well-deserved fun with your friends. 5. Heavenly Holidays Family Festival, Heavenly Village

December 8 – 31, 2018

 

 

Christmas Tree Lighting daily at 7:00 pm, breakfast with Santa where kids of all ages can enjoy pancakes with Santa and Mrs. Claus or Rail Jam featuring professional riders are just some of the activities taking place in the Heavenly Village.

 

6. American Century Celebrity Golf Championship, Stateline

Players like Emmitt Smith and Charles Barkley arrive at the Edgewood golf course to play for charity, and visitors can get up and personal with them or anchor your boat right off the beach to watch them from the comfort of your own deck. This family-friendly event takes place in Tahoe South and features celebrities such as Steph Curry or Ray Romano.
